Magnolia Regional Medical Center is proud to announce the opening of its new outpatient wound care clinic. The wound care clinic is designed to treat patients with chronic or slow healing wounds that have shown little or no signs of healing. Emergency Physicians

The Emergency Department at Magnolia Regional Medical Center is getting improvements in the form of a new physician group beginning July 30th. Improved patient care and operating efficiency are key goals of the change.

Emergency Staffing Solutions (ESS) will staff and manage the physicians in the emergency department at MRMC. ESS, founded in 2001 in Dallas, TX focuses on rural and suburban areas. They manage emergency departments in over 50 hospitals nationwide.

MRMC has worked closely with ESS to establish a strong working relationship in order to provide the best patient care possible. The patient’s experience in the emergency room is the top priority.

Margaret West, MRMC CEO, said the new staffing group will stay in close contact with the MRMC staff. “We’re really excited about being able to elevate the over-all level of care our patients receive and, hopefully, to operate more efficiently.”

ESS is aligned with the primary goal of a patient’s total wellbeing, and shares MRMC’s desire to serve the community as a healthcare leader. A person’s overall health is essential to quality of life and this will remain one of the primary goals of MRMC.

Julie Gunnels, Emergency Dept. Nurse Director, said the nursing staff is committed to working with the new group to improve services in the Emergency Department. “The MRMC emergency room staff is excited about this new partnership with ESS. We are looking forward to the enhancements that will be made to patient care in our area.”

While ESS will bring in new faces to the Emergency Department, a few of the current physicians will join the new group. The following physicians are currently scheduled to work at MRMC through the ESS partnership: Dr. Scott Brown, Dr. Mark Dixon, Dr. Samuel Peebles, Dr. Lloyd Ruff, Dr. Michael Corpus, Dr. William Lynn and Dr. Stephan Pinkerton.
