Crisis Communications

In the event of a crisis situation, updates will be posted to our main blog page.  These updates are intended for the local media, local citizens, and our employees.

Friends & Family
We understand that friends and family will be concerned for the care of your loved ones.  However, in order to allow our staff the space required to provide appropriate care, we ask that each patient have only one friend or family member stay with them.  Other friends and family are invited to wait in the MRMC Cafeteria, located on the ground floor.  Updates will be provided to those in the cafeteria as frequently as possible by our staff and public information officers.

Media
Based on the number of media personnel present, a designated area will be allocated for the media to set up equipment and work.  While we understand the media's job to get the story, we ask that media representatives remain in the designated area unless escorted by the CEO or Public Information Office.  This is required to allow our medical personnel the space and privacy to care for our patients in the most efficient manner possible.  In addition to updates on this blog, the Public Information Officer will provide frequent updates to the media located in the designated area.

Employees
Employees not currently at the facility will be called by your supervisor on an as-needed basis.  Please remember the MRMC Social Media Guidelines.  Staff and employees are not permitted to post information on social network sites.  Employees are not authorized to speak on behalf of MRMC in interviews, statements, photos, etc.  All media should be directed to the designated media area.  The CEO or Public Information Officer will be responsible for coordinating the media and providing them opportunities for photos/video and information.
